Matthew Roberts, PA-C

Matthew Roberts is an East Texas native growing up in Hallsville, Tx. Working in urgent care at Taylor Urgent Medical Care for over five years, Roberts saw a critical need in the Gilmer community for access to prompt, quality medical care.

Roberts received his B.S. in Biology at the University of North Texas (2007), and earned a Physician Assistant Master’s degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center (2011) in Fort Worth. He also graduated from Hallsville High School. Matthew is married to the love of his life Morgan Roberts. Together they have three wonderful children Bailee, Alayna, and Noah. They enjoy being involved in their church at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Gilmer. His hobbies include golf, hunting and fishing.

Ashley Edwards, PA-C

Ashley Edwards, PA-C, was born and raised in White Oak, Tx.   She  received her B.S. in Biology and Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2011 and her Master's of Physician Assistant Studies from Louisiana State University at Shreveport in 2015.  She has focused her work in urgent care, wound care, orthopedic surgery, dermatology, and cosmetic surgery.  

Her and her husband, Kendall, have 4 beautiful children, Ramzee, Coy, Emma Grace, and their newborn Everleigh.  Her hobbies include painting, horseback riding, and spending time with her family.

Amber James, FNP-C

Amber James is an East Texas native growing up in Gilmer,Tx. I am a proud Harmony High school graduate. Working as an RN at Longview Regional for 6 years, I saw a variety of patients and decided I wanted to work locally as healthcare provider in family/urgent care once finishing my masters in nursing. 

I received my BSN at the University of Texas in Tyler and earned my Master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner through Walden University. I am married to the love of my life and my best friend, Adam James. We have two wonderful kids together named Bentlee and Harper. I have a passion for working healthcare and love learning new things. Most of my spare time is spent with my family and watching my kids extra curricular activities.
